We love it when a rumour proves too. A few weeks back we said that the HTC M8 would be delayed until late March and today we have the official launch date for the phone. Which happens to be late March.Ok, the invites don't say M8. Nor do they say One Two, the alternative name being proposed for HTC's next flagship device. But the invite does ask us to save the date, which usually means a high end launch and for HTC, there is only one potential launch in town. The event will take place on 25 March in both London and New York simultaneously, scuppering any lingering thoughts of a debut at the MWC event next week. When it does launch, we expect it to look like the handset here, one of many leaks in relation to the M8.Those leaks also point to a 5-inch screen with 1080 x 1920 resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and a dual-sensor 5-megapixel Ultrapixel camera on back. Android 4.4.2 is likely to be the the operating system. We'll be on the ground when it does launch next month. In the meantime, expect one lower key launch from HTC at MWC, the HTC Desire 8.
