Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 leaks

We saw the original Xperia Tablet Z in February last year. Indeed, bar a couple of concerns about battery and price, we gave it a strong review too. Hopefully the upcoming Sony Xperia Tablet Z2 pushes things up a notch.

The tablet and some initial details have leaked on Twitter by (you guessed it) @evleaks, giving us a fair idea of just what Sony is planning for its second generation slate.

If correct. those details point to a 10.1-inch tablet with a speedier 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 3GB RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera (on the face of it, the same as the original Z tablet), along with a 6,000mAh battery.

All of that in the now expected waterproof casing from Sony, a case that is said to be just 6.4mm thick. Android 4.4 KitKat will be the operating system, which is nice to see. No waiting for an unspecified date for an upgrade thankfully.

There is no definite confirmation of it being launched at MWC, but with the original now over a year old, it seems like the perfect opportunity to refresh the Z tablet.
