EE was showing it off late last year, but the LG G Flex has yet make it to UK shelves. Seems that wait could soon be over, with Carphone Warehouse now doing pre-orders on the curvy smartphone. As you probably know, the phone was initially just for Korea, but a change of heart led to the phone being offered globally. That phone has a horizontally curved screen (specifically a 6-inch, 720p curved OLED display), along with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM, a 13-megapixel camera, high-fidelity audio recording and playback, dual-window app functionality and tap-to-wake control. We're hoping that the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 operating system might be upgraded and we're definitely intrigued by the idea of a 'Self Healing' coating on the back cover. If you are too, Carphone Warehouse is doing pre-orders right now, but you'll need to have a bit on the bank if you want one SIM-free. £689 is the price, which is pretty hefty even for a top-end phone.Alternatively, you can go contract, but that's still a pricey option. You'll have to pay £79 upfront, then pay £52 per month, which includes 5GB of 4G data on any network. If you are upgrading through Carphone Warehouse, that gets a little more affordable, offered for 'free' over two years with 2GB of data for £42 monthly. It certainly isn't cheap being a pioneer, but just think of the attention you'll get on a Saturday night out with that curvy phone?
