Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite revealed early

We would guess Samsung has this model up its sleeve for a launch at MWC. Although with the launch more or less covered by a retailer in Poland, we wonder whether Samsung might just quietly announce the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite a little earlier.

It doesn't matter one way or the other. Ok, we haven't got the UK shelf date or price, but thanks to the retail listing, everything else is out in the public domain. What is it you ask? It's a very cheap Android tablet.

At least, it is if you buy it in Poland. If you get an order in there, it is selling for 399zl, which works out at around £80 at the current rate. Is there a catch? Well, yes there is. It isn't exactly cutting edge when it comes to the specification.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite is a 7-inch tablet with a less-than-impressive 1,024x600-pixel screen. It also packs a 1.2GHz dual-core chip, 1GB RAM, just 8GB of storage (although thee is a card slot) and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which is a couple of generations behind.

But it is cheap and in an era of cheap tablets, it might find a niche. This is a brand tablet for little money. That will be a key selling point if or when it makes it to the UK. When Samsung makes an official comment on that front, we'll let you know.
