Samsung Galaxy Note 3 neo leaks

How does a smaller version of the popular Samsung Galaxy Note 3 grab you? Well, if it's as impressive as the original, we wouldn't say no.

It seems like Samsung is doing what it does best and bring out a variation of a popular handset, this time a smaller Note 3 with a slightly reduced specification to match. We would assume the price would be a little more affordable too.

The latter has yet to be confirmed, but pretty much everything else is known after images of the phone were acquired by the SamMobile site. Shots front and back have been shown off, with the Note 3 Neo shown side by side with its big brother. When photos are involved, we think it is safe to assume that it's a certainty.

The site also offers a specification too. It claims there will be two models (one with 4G), both with a 5.55-inch 720p HD (1280×720) Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 5260 hexa-core processor, 2GB RAM, an 8-megapixel main camera capable of shooting Full HD 1080p videos, a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera, 16GB of storage (expandable via microSD card) and a large 3,100mAH battery.

You'll also find Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on-board with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI, the usual Note 3 software additions. We would expect an upgrade to Android KitKat too, but it isn't confirmed as yet.

As for a launch, the MWC in February looks a good bet. Although it could be kept back for a separate Samsung event, especially if the Galaxy S5 arrives not long after MWC. As soon as we hear more, we will let you know.
