Pink gadgets are always around at the start of each year, but Samsung has kicked things off just a little early this year with the announcement of a pink Galaxy S4.Why the start of the year? Well bizarrely, gadget makers seem to think people have an urge to buy pink gadgets in the run up to Valentine's Day. Personally, I've never heard of anyone showing their love with a contract phone, but with the amount of pink hardware on the shelves, you would guess someone is somewhere. If you happen to be in that group or simply want a Samsung flagship in this distinctive shade, you can pre-order it now at Phones 4U, where the colour is an exclusive. Don't worry, you'll get well ahead of the 'big day', as the phone is said to ship in early January. Almost works as a late Christmas gift too. Note that it will only be available until the end of January though, so don't hang around too long. The phone itself is unchanged from the one that launched in the early part of 2013, with a a 5-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display, 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and 13-megapixel rear camera still heading up the specification. Only the outer design has changed, with that pink finish matched with a gold surround. Price-wise, you are looking at the phone from £33 per month across a variety of networks or from £38 if you want to take advantage of the phones 4G network capability. Whatever deal you go for, Phones 4U is throwing in a £120 wireless speaker too, presumably while stocks last. If that appeals, head to the retailer's site or your nearest outlet.
