Huawei Ascend P7 set for early 2014 launch

The Ascend P6 (pictured above) got something of a middling review off us despite an impressive HD screen. Hopefully some of the issues will be ironed out for the Huawei Ascend P7.

That phone is coming - and fairly soon too. April 2014, according to GSM Arena, which has seen a leaked document confirming just what the phone will offer when it does land.

If true, the P7 will have a 5-inch 1080p TFT LCD display, quad-core 1.6GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card),  a 13-megapixel rear-camera, 8-megapixel front-camera (which should be good news for fans of 'selflies'), LTE chip and Huawei's EmotionUI 2.0 running alongside the Android OS.

No image yet, but it is said to be made of 'exquisite materials', with a look not a million miles away from the P6. So April 2014 is the date, but we wouldn't be surprised if we saw a glimpse at the MWC event in February of next year.
