White edition of Nexus 7 tablet launches in UK

The latest version of the Google Nexus 7 landed in July, but it only landed in boring black. That has changed just in time for the festive season.

Google has added a white version of the Nexus 7 tablet to its Google Play store in the UK just in time for the festive season. But there are limitations. There is only a 32GB model (no 16GB) and this is a Wi-Fi model, not one with data connectivity. Still, it's white, which keeps you outside the crowd and if you want it, you can order one now for £239.

No new features (as you might expect), although it could ship with the latest Android 4.4.2 version of KitKat in theory. So that leaves the same specification as the original, including a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 HD display, a 1.2-megapixel networking camera, 5-megapixel rear camera, Wi-Fi, 2GB RAM, 3,950mAh battery, wireless charging and a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

If you want one for Christmas Day, you probably want to get an order in right now.
