Rumours claim LG V510 tablet will be Google Nexus 8

We were recently impressed with the LG G Pad 8.3, so it's interesting to hear it might be the basis of the next Google Nexus tablet launch.

That's according to a couple of leaks in the last day or so. First up, the usually reliable @evleaks posted a tweet saying: 'The LG V510 tablet is indeed a Nexus device.' Now, the LG G Pad 8.3 had a model number of V500, which isn't a great leap to V510. So the logic is that this is a variant of the slate for Google.

In a separate leak, a service manual for the LG V510 has surfaced in China, claiming that the tablet features an 8.3-inch display with 1920 x 1200 pixels, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB RAM, and a 4,600 mAh battery. All of which is in a case measuring 216.8 x 126.5 x 8.3mm. Not really much of a step away from the LG G Pad 8.3.

Time will tell. Does Google really need an 8-inch tablet? We'll only know for sure if or when it hit the shelves. No details of just when that might be.
