Good news if you have a tablet and a Sky TV subscription, your viewing has just gone mobile thanks to the Sky Go Android tablet app.So if you like the idea of live viewing (or offline viewing for that matter if you pay the fee), go get this now, an entirely new app, separate from the Android phone app.It has been long overdue. The company was very apologetic about the lack of Android tablet support back in the summer, promising to put that right before the year is out. By and large, that's what the company has done. There are now two apps, no doubt to hasten the development process. But in future, these will merge into a single app. The other problem right now is that the interface only works in portrait, although viewing (thankfully) is in both portrait and landscape. As for compatibility, the tablet app works on Android tablets measuring 7-inches or more running Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 and above, with the exception of the Asus Transformer TF101 and Amazon's tablets. Make of the latter what you will, with the former down to some streaming issues.Other than that, it's business as usual. In fact, more so as the service has just been expanded with the addition of 14 new channels to choose from. All of it free if you have the full Sky service, though as we mentioned, offline viewing costs a little more.
