If you want to sell new phones and introduce some added exclusivity, there is one easy way to do it. Add new colours. That seems to be Samsung's approach anyway as it seeks to bump up interest in the (almost) five-star phone and hopefully pick up a few new sales along the way. You can still get the current black, white and pink phones, but alongside those finishes, you'll soon be able to pick up a phone in merlot red, rose gold white and rose gold black. The red is the most obvious new colour, with the latter two being all about the detailing. With Apple doing so well with a 'bling' finish for the iPhone 5s, it seems that Samsung is going down a similar road by adding a gold surround to the white and black models. Simple, but likely to be effective. The phone itself is unchanged, offering an S Pen stylus plus split-screen options, along with a 2.3GHz quad-core processor, a 13-megapixel, 4K camera and high definition 5.7-inch screen. Doesn't look like the new phones will come with KitKat either, so you'll have to wait until early next year to update.Saying that, we don't actually have firm dates for the new colours yet. They have been confirmed for the UK, with selling details to arrive in 'due course'. If they don't get a shift on, that KitKat update (due in January) might actually arrive first.
