Some time back, HTC produced a gold HTC One for winners of the MOBO Awards. Those phones (five in total) were clad in 18ct gold and obviously were never going to be to be the forerunner to a mass production handset. But HTC has now confirmed the next best thing.Perhaps with one eye in Apple's success with a gold iPhone 5s, HTC has confirmed a gold-coloured HTC One for the UK and Europe. It will cost a lot less than the estimated asking price of the precious metal version too, which was said to be worth around £2,750.In fact, it's likely to cost pretty much the same as the silver, black and red version of the HTC One, not least because this is just a paint job on top of a phone that still offers a 4.7-inch full HD 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, a 2,300mAh battery, HTC's UltraPixel camera and 4G compatibility.
