We saw the launch back in October, but at the time, we had no hint of a UK shelf date for the Nokia Lumia 1520. Thankfully, we do now. That date is 6 December 2013. On that date, you can get Nokia's phablet from O2, Vodafone. Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U for around £38 per month. With Vodafone, that gets you unlimited calls and texts, 2GB of data and the handset for free over 24 months. If you want to go 4G, you'll be looking at £48 per month and £90 for the phone. For other prices (and networks), contact the respective companies. For that, you get a colour choice of red, white, black or yellow, as well as a smartphone with a a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM, a 20-megapixel PureView camera with optical image stabilisation and a 6-inch full HD screen with 1920 x 1080 resolution. Windows Phone 8, naturally. Also on board are four microphones, 32GB of storage, a microSD slot to boost that storage space even more, along with the latest Nokia software, such as Storyteller, which can location tag your media (photos and video), working alongside Here Maps to show what you did and where. The handset is likely to be SIM-free too, prices for that have yet to be confirmed.
