Details of HTC One Two smartphone leak

We did hear a rumour that HTC was planning an update of its HTC one flagship phone late in 2013, so it's no surprise to hear about a phone going by the name of the HTC One Two. Sadly, the arrival might be a little later than expected.

The latest details come from regular (and usually correct) Twitter tipsters @evleaks, who claim the HTC One will be given a mini overhaul with a Snapdragon 800 processor, a 5-inch 1080p display and the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. That's a decent step up from a phone with a Snapdragon 600 chip, a 4.7-inch screen and Android Jelly Bean right now. There's also the likelihood of an upgrade in memory too, from 2GB to 3GB.

We did initially hear that this update could land in late 2013, but it seems the phone, codenamed M8 right now, is geared towards an April 2014 launch. No sign of an image yet (hardly surprising with the launch so far off), but we would expect some kind of evolution from the HTC One pictured above.

If we hear or see anything more, we'll let you know.
