BBM adds iPad and iPod touch support

The relentless march of BBM goes on. Indeed, while BlackBerry as a company might be suffering, its best known application is one of the hottest tickets in town. 10 million downloads in the 24 hours after it was offered for Android and iOS isn't a bad number.

The app has now been updated and with it, brings further appeal. At least it does for certain Apple owners. Yes, the iOS app has now expended from phone to iPad and iPod touch, just as long as you have iOS 6 or higher running on that device. Should be most people.

On top of that, the update (for both iOS and Android) has brought bug fixes too. Specifically an unusually high battery drainage issue on Android divides and a problem with missing contact names on the original iOS app. Both apps now make it easier to find friends who are also using BBM, with the Android app also making it easier to sort and filter BBM group lists.

All sound good with you? Then download the updated app for your phones or tablet now.
