It was first showcased back in August, with the presumption that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids would be here in time for Christmas. That is now the case.Samsung has confirmed that its child-friendly tablet will go on sale from this weekend. In fact, you can get one tomorrow if you (or your children) happen to be desperate, available for around £199.For that, you get a 7-inch tablet with 7-inch 1,024x600-pixel display, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage, along with a 3-megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front. The operating system is Android Jelly Bean 4.1, albeit with a child-friendly interface. So it might look like a toy, but this is a powerful little tablet underneath. The tablet also comes with apps covering educational and entertainment ground, with more available from Samsung's own Kids Store. You can also control which apps your children access and play with, as well as being able to set the time they can use it. If you want to go all the way with this, there are add-ons too, including a pretty chunky case and stands. After all, it's not cheap, so you might want to protect that investment. There's also a chunky C Pen if you go for the case, which is likely to be a lot of use and fun.If that appeals, look out for it tomorrow online or in retailers like Toys 'R' Us, Argos, Shop Direct, Dixons, John Lewis and Asda for around that £199 mark from 8 November.
