Argos introduces MyTablet

We had one from Tesco recently, now another high street retailer has its own Android tablet. What's more, the Argos MyTablet comes in at under £100.

Available from tomorrow, Argos' first-ever branded tablet will sell for £99.99, with 19 pre-loaded apps thrown in as part of the deal, including key players like Facebook, BBC iPlayer, Twitter and Angry Birds.

As for the tablet itself, that offers a 7-inch LCD  screen with 1024x600-pixel resolution, Android Jellybean 4.2.2 for the OS, a dual Core 1.6Ghz processor, 2-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel networking camera Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 5-hour battery life, a microSD slot and HDMI connectivity.

On the face of it, that package at £99.99 offers seriously good value. But like all budget tablets, it's important to get hands-on before splashing the cash, Hopefully we'll get the chance to do that very soon.
