Nokia Lumia 929 leaks

It was thought to be a variation of the upcoming phablet for the US market, but it now seems that the Nokia Lumia 929 is a separate phone altogether.

As you probably know by now, Nokia has a phablet about to launch, going by the name of the Nokia Lumia 1520. It is likely to be showcased at an event in the US in October and when it does land, speculation points to a 6-inch device with 1080p HD screen resolution, along with a 20-megapixel camera, a quad-core Snapdragon CPU and Windows Phone 8 GDR3 for the operating system. But that is all speculation right now,

Less is known about the 929, but it is believed to be slightly bigger than the Lumia 625 (which has a 4.7-inch screen). With that in mind, an expected 5-inch smartphone certainly isn't just a variation of the phablet, which could mean it will be the supporting act at the Nokia event, another phone running the GDR3 version of the Windows Phone operating system.

You can see the leaked image of the Nokia Lumia 929 above, which comes via regular tipsters @evleaks. Hopefully we'll see the finished item in October, the new hardware likely to make it onto the shelves ahead of the festive season.
