Press image of Nokia Lumia 1520 leaks

With a launch said to be a matter of weeks away, it's hardly surprising that we've now got a press shot of the upcoming Nokia Lumia 1520.

This is Nokia's phablet, heavily rumoured of late and formerly known as the Bandit. We think Lumia 1520 is a much stronger bet for a final name, even it isn't as interesting as Bandit. But this isn't about the name, it's about the image, which shows us pretty much what we expected really. A larger version of the classic Lumia shape.

It is said to be a 6-inch device and from the images, it looks like it packs a fairly standard camera, as opposed to the enhanced camera you would  find on the Lumia 1020. Saying that, it has been rumoured as a 20-megapixel camera, so it might be a step up of sorts.

Other likely features are a 1080p HD screen resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon CPU and Windows Phone 8 GDR3, which will enable that 1080p support. Everything else is still guesswork and might stay that way until the launch, which is though to be in November. That's after Nokia launches its first tablet, which should showcase in October.
