Sony showed off its new Smartwatch 2 at its huge IFA launch event, a nifty wrist gadget that connects wirelessly to your smartphone and updates you on incoming calls, messages and more.
The Smartwatch 2 rocks a typical Sony design, with an angular finish and a rounded button on the edge to power up the screen. There's a choice of straps, including plastic and metallic, and you can choose from a number of different analogue-style backgrounds for when the watch is not in use. Activate it and the Smartwatch 2 displays up to six icons at a time, with a number of different desktops available to flick through, just like on the Xperia smartphones.
Right now you can check for mail, texts, social network updates and so on, and Sony is talking with third parties to bring greater functionality to the device. We'll bring you a full review soon.
