Nokia's Lumia 1520 phablet caught on camera

Well, this is something of a fast developing story. We mentioned recently that Nokia is launching a tablet and at the same time, mentioned the possibility of a phablet too. The name of the Nokia Lumia 1520 leaked yesterday and as a nice bonus, we have an image of the device today.

Or at least, what is claimed to be the Nokia phablet. The image has been made available by the Windows Phone Central site, which shows the super-sized Lumia dominating the Lumia 1020 next to it. That's a 4.5-inch phone, so you can see how big this will be.

Details that come with the phone point to a 6-inch 1080p screen, a polycarbonate body, a 20-megapixel PureView camera, a quad-core Snapdragon CPU and Windows Phone 8 GDR3, which will bring with it 1080P support.

November is being talked about for a launch, which is sometime after the expected tablet launch of 26 September. Makes sense to keep the two separate if Nokia wants to maximise impact. Hopefully the company can push through stock of the Nokia Lumia 1520 before the year is out.
