Apple said to releasing 128GB iPhone 5S, claims analyst

How would you like a gold-coloured 128GB iPhone 5S? That's a strong possibility, according to usually well-informed KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo has been talking to investors about the upcoming iPhone 5S, claiming it  will carry over many of the features from the current iPhone 5, including the 4-inch screen form factor. However, the phone will have a boost in processor, with the new Apple-made chip, said to be 20 per cent more efficient than the current one.

Also updated will be the rear-facing camera, using a larger f2.0 aperture lens assembly with dual LED flashes, while the much talked-about fingerprint sensor will also arrive, embedded in a sapphire glass home button. As we mentioned in our opening gambit, Kuo expects Apple to add on a new 128GB storage option, along with a 'gold casing', alongside black and silver.

So evolution, but certainly not revolution. All should be revealed by Apple on 10 September, alongside a more affordable iPhone 5C model.
