We heard Samsung had a flip phone in the pipeline, but we didn't know just when it was going to unleash the phone. Well, the Samsung Hennessy is with us right now. Although it might take a bit longer for it to make it to Britain.Indeed, it might not make it here at all. The throwback phone has been unveiled in China, which points to the phone primarily being marketed in that territory. There's no reason why it couldn't come here, but that's perhaps down to Samsung judging whether this design still has legs in Europe. In its updated form, we think it does. When we say 'updated', we mean that the tech on offer here is reasonably up to date, even if the design perhaps isn't. Ok, it runs Android 4.1 rather than 4.3, but it does have a a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, a pair of 3.3-inch 320x480 touch displays, a 5-megapixel rear camera and all the usual connectivity, along with dual-SIM compatibility. It might be one we'll see unofficially in the UK rather than by the official route. But we hope a variation makes it here via Samsung itself. I a world of homogenised big screen smartphones, there's still a place for a bit of novelty.
