Nexus 7 2 gets UK launch date

We were hoping for a launch at the same time as the US, but that was never really going to happen. Luckily, the wait for the Nexus 7 2 tablet in the UK isn't as long as it could have been.

The latest incarnation of the Nexus 7 will go on sale in the UK on 28 August. That's not guesswork, that's the word of manufacturer Asus in an official statement. So a few weeks and you colds have your hands on one.

Retailers have yet to be confirmed, although the Google Play Store will definitely have stock initially. But as we've seen before, that stock certainly isn't limitless. However, if you are quick, you should be able to pick up a 16GB model for £199, while the 32GB version retails for £239.

For your money, you get the Nexus 7 2’s 1920 x 1200 Full HD seven-inch display, with an impressive 323ppi, along with a five-megapixel rear camera, a front-facing 1.2 megapixel lens, a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and of course, Android 4.3 out of the box. If all of that appeals, not long to wait now.
