Samsung Folder flip phone leaks

Remember the flip phone? They were all the rage so many years ago, we can't really remember. But if was before the millennium, that's for sure. Samsung remembers them though and looks like it is planning a revival with the Samsung Folder.

This is your typical flip phone. If the flip was made today, obviously. That's because the inner workings and software are very 'now'. It's just the shape that looks a tad yesteryear.

Specifically, we're talking an Android 4.2.2 phone with two touch-screen displays on the front and back, as well as a physical keypad and gold-coloured trim. One of those screens is a 3.7-inch AMOLED panel apparently, with other features including a Snapdragon 400 dual-core processor, 2GB RAM and a 1,820mAh battery.

The big question is whether Samsung plans to drop this worldwide as a quirky and niche product (and one that would certainly go down well with the retro market) or whether it sticks to Korea only, which seems more likely.

Time will tell but Samsung, if you are reading. Please try a launch here. We'll love you for it.
