iPhone 5S could come with a screen size boost

Good news and bad news on the iPhone 5S front. It seems Apple is giving the screen a size boost. But with that could come a later launch date.

That's according to the Taiwanese Commercial Times, citing sources in the supply chain. It claims that a launch date of September (possibly sneaking towards October) could be compromised with a change of design. That design is now said to incorporate a 4.3-inch Retina Display screen and as a result, we may be looking at a launch for Apple's flagship phone towards the end of the year.

However it's not all bad news. Those same sources claim Apple is still working on a launch of the 'cheaper version' of the iPhone, with chips for the model having been in production since June. That phone is reported to be launching before the end of the third quarter of 2013, which is by the end of September in other words.

So an Apple launch in September still likely. Just not the big one.
