Alleged specification of updated Google Nexus 7 breaks

Leaks come from a variety of places, but getting the lowdown from a company customer service agent online is a new one on us. But that seems to be the case with the updated Asus-made Google Nexus 7.

An 'agent' via live chat seems to have had the lowdown for the new (and presumably Google-branded) tablet. He or she might have been making it up, but there's a lot of detail here for someone to simply throw out randomly.

That detail points to a 7-inch LED display with 1980 x 1200 resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chip, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front camera, a 4,000 mAh battery, WiFi N, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC connectivity, plus 4G LTE as a nice bonus.

It was also said to feature Android 4.3, so could be a launch device when that platform finally becomes available.

It could be nonsense, but it sounds plausible to us. We would expect a launch around autumn, ahead of the busy Christmas period.
