Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini gets a UK shelf date

We got some pricing details via the Carphone Warehouse site a short time back, but now we have some more, along with an official launch date.

This weekend should be the date of arrival, although you might want to check with your phone shop of choice if you are making the journey. That's a little before the Carphone Warehouse date, but not a great deal. They might even have it too.

You will be able to order it via SIM-free dealers such as Unlocked Mobiles and Handtec, who will have it for £365 and £90 respectively, with delivery for Monday if you order now. Phones 4U are also selling it SIm-free, but for a pricier £420 and with shipping not due until Monday

Contract options are available too. We mentioned Carphone Warehouse selling it across Orange and T-Mobile from £27 per month, with a deal on the 4G EE network also available, getting you a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 as a freebie if you sign up initially.

As for the hardware itself, it's a cut-down version of Samsung's flagship S4, offering a 4.3-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, a 1.7GHz dual core processor and 1.5GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.9-megapixel HD front-facing camera.

If that appeals, you know where to get it.
