Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue get an official launch

The MediaPad 7 Vogue is the latest tablet from Huawei, a 7-inch variation on  the theme, which you probably guessed from the name.

It isn't exactly groundbreaking. In fact, it's a pretty average piece of kit. Which leads us to think if/when this arrives in the UK, it will be fighting its corner on price. There's always a market for a tablet that does the basics right if the price works.

This should have all the basics covered too, with a 1,024 x 600 IPS display, quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB of storage. Connectivity will be both 3G and Wi-Fi, although we're not sure if that's in the same model of it 3G is for a premium model.

Other features include a 3-megapixel rear camera, Android 4.1 with Emotion 1.5 interface and a microSD expansion slot for storing your media.

There's a colour choice of black or white and if you want it straight away, you'll have to be in China, which is where this tablet will launch initially. No news of a UK launch, but with Huawei launching more of its hardware here these days, this is likely to land too - and at a price that's at the very least competitive.
