Back in December of last year, the original HTC Butterfly was launched, but never quite made it to the UK. Instead, we waited for the HTC One. Fast forward to now and we have the launch of the HTC Butterfly S. Will this make it to these shores? We honestly don't know. But we're more hopeful than with the original (unless HTC is planning to refresh the HTC One anytime soon). Right now, the phone is limited to Taiwan for sale, offering a 5-inch, 1080p Super LCD 3 display with 440ppi resolution and scratch-resistant glass. There's also a 4-megapixel UltraPixel camera on the back, a 2.1-megapixel camera for video calls and front-facing speakers working alongside Beats Audio technology for top-notch sound. You have probably guessed that the HTC Butterfly S runs Android Jelly Bean, with the inner workings including a quad-core 1.9GHZ Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB RAM, with 16GB of storage, a microSD card slot for your extra media and a 3,200mAh battery to keep you going. The colour choices are grey, white and red versions and as we said earlier, there are no details of this rolling out beyond Taiwan as yet. Watch this space for any movement on that.
