That was quick. Yesterday we saw a leaked image and some details of an alleged HTC Desire 200 smartphone. Now we have a launch under the very same name.Maybe the launch was always planned or perhaps it was pushed forward in light of the leaked images? Who knows. We just know it's here now and worth a look if finances are tight or you want to play music at the back of the bus. That's because this latest addition is likely to be a budget affair and have a decent bit of sound with it too, thanks to the inclusion of Beats Audio technology. That combination is almost certain to make it popular on the bus to school. The price is likely to be low because of what's inside. The confirmed specification includes a single-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 1Ghz processor, 512MB RAM, a 3.5-inch screen with 480 x 320 resolution, a 5-megapixel camera with f2.8 aperture and a 34mm lens, 4GB of internal storage and a microSD slot. Android is the operating system, with no version as yet confirmed. But with the leak suggesting Ice Cream Sandwich, we're fearing the worst on that front. Sense will be running alongside it, regardless.Still, it is small and light, sized at 107.7 x 60.8 x 11.9mm and weighing just 100g, so if you want something that's both light in your pocket and light on your wallet, it might be worth checking out.No news on a UK date as yet, but it will appear in Taiwan first from 19 July.
