HTC One Mini launch gets more likely

When a website we haven't previously heard of says that the HTC One Mini exists, we make a note, but still have some doubts. When Bloomberg says it, we sit up and pay a lot more attention.

Bloomberg has just said it, claiming to have inside knowledge of the phone courtesy of 'two people familiar with the matter'. A key difference here is the name. Originally down as the One Mini, Bloomberg claims the phone will launch as the Mini One. A small change, but a significant one.

Other than that, it really does give credibility to the earlier leak, adding that the phone will come with a 4.3-inch screen, a less powerful Qualcomm processor and lower resolution screen compared to the HTC One. Bloomberg also confirms an August release date.

With all of that in mind, it looks like the image above (from that earlier leak) is probably correct too, leaving HTC will little up its sleeve for the big launch, price and shelf date aside.

We suspect the price will be mid-range, competing with the already-launched Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini - although we've yet to hear of a price for that phone, despite a launch last month.
