Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom spotted online

With a showcase event later this month, it's no surprise to see so many Samsung devices launching or leaking. But we're more taken aback with the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom than most.

Bucking the trend of super-slim smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is bulky. Very bulky for a 2013 launch. That's because this is a hybrid of camera and phone (as opposed to a phone with camera functionality). Specifically, we're talking a 16-megapixel camera sensor with optical zoom for the snaps, throwing in a dedicated shutter button on the side, as well as volume buttons to activate that optical zoom.

Of course, you'll want to know about the smartphone side of things too. According to SamMobile, it should have a 4.3-inch qHD sAMOLED display a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of storage and a microSD slot. Of course, you can call with it - this isn't just some fancy Android stuff bolted onto a compact camera.

No word on the launch of this, but with that event looming large and an official photo out there, we would expect to this in London on 20 June.
