The rapidly-growing phablet sector has a a new addition this morning, the Acer Liquid S1.Announced at the Computex event, the Acer Liquid S1 is a large-format phone or a small tablet, depending on your needs or viewpoint. Either way, it has a 5.7-inch HD 1280 x 720 resolution screen, a 1.5GHz processor, 8GN of storage (which you can boost via microSD card) the option of single or dual SIM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which is said to be pretty much 'stock' Android, with very little in the way of overlays or add-ons. That's certain to be a selling point for some.Saying that, Acer has throw in a new feature called the Acer Float User Interface. That enables several app windows to stay open while you are using another. We'll probably need to get hands-on to see how that works in practice. It all weighs in at 195g and should be in the UK in the third quarter of 2013. No UK pricing as yet, but you can get a good idea from the European pricing, which starts SIM-free from €349.
