Screen likely to be enhanced considerably on next iPhone

We're well into the run up to the next Apple iPhone, although no one is quite sure if it will be the iPhone 5S or the iPhone 6. But details of the hardware are slowly trickling out.

The latest rumours come via the Chinese Wei Feng Network site, which claims  the new iPhone will arrive with a much narrower bezel, not unlike the design of the iPad mini. The display size will stay at 4 inches, but Apple will boost the pixel count of that screen from 730,000 to 1.5 million. That should put it up with the best of the competition in terms of sharpness.

If the phone is getting a redesign, it does hint at the phone being an iPhone 6 rather than iPhone 5S, although only time will tell. Not too much time though, as the phone is said to be entering production as soon as June.

Saying that, there's no launch for some time, with the official date said to be some time in September. Apple, it seems, is concerned about the volume of hardware it will need to feed the usual frenzied demand.
