White Google Nexus 4 could land in June

The idea of a white Nexus 4 goes back as far as January, when it briefly leaked online, but it has yet to launch. According to a new report, it could be here next month.

That's according to the Android and Me site, which got hold of a white Nexus 4 at this week's Google I/O event. It confirmed that the phone was a 'carbon copy' of the current Nexus 4, albeit with a different shade of casing. But that is not the end of the story.

It claims that the white Nexus 4 will be offered on the Google Play store on 10 June, but not only that - it will come with the latest version of Android, which will be Android 4.3.

It was intended as an announcement at this year's event, but Google, it seems, wanted to showcase services with the current platform, rather than have the focus on its latest OS. Not a lot is currently currently known about 4.3 and with that in mind, it is likely to be a fairly minor update.

But the latest version of Android (and a colour change) will certainly give sales of the Nexus 4 a shot in the arm. Especially at the same value price point.
