ZTE Grand X2 gets an official launch

Not a lot of Intel-powered smartphones on the market right now, but that number will increase by one later this year when the ZTE Grand X2 makes its way to Europe.

That processor is a 2GHz Atom Z2580 chip, which is joined by a 4.5-inch, 720p display and an eight-megapixel auto-flash camera with one of the shortest shot-to-shot times on the market, capable of up to 24 frames per second and offering face and smart scene recognition.

You'll also find a one-megapixel networking camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage, a microSD slot and Android Jelly Bean for the operating system, along with other helpful little features, such as enhanced audio, wireless display (WiDi) which enables wireless streaming between connected media devices and 1080p video playback.

It's down for a European launch in the third quarter of 2013. No pricing as yet, as you might expect.
