BlackBerry R10 breaks cover

A new Blackberry seems to be on the horizon, going by the name of the BlackBerry R10.

The phone leaked a day or two back, but only as a solitary image. However, that seems to have opened the floodgates somewhat, with the DGtle site throwing out more images of the phone in action in a plain black casing. Previous leaks have shown a handset in white and red.

But more importantly than the colour of the phone is a specification for the leaked item, which just happened to come with it. As you can see, there's a QWERTY keyboard here, which should please the purists, but also a 3.1-inch display (720 x 720 resolution), 5-megapixel rear camera, 2GB RAM, 8GB internal storage, 1800 mAh non-removable battery and BlackBerry 10.1 for the OS.

It isn't massively different to the recently-launched Q10, but there are enough differences (like the camera and storage for example) to mark this down as the lower-end model.

But with an estimated US price of $300 – $400, it certainly isn't a cheapie. No idea how much this sell for in the UK, but with the third quarter of 2013 being talked about for a launch, there's no reason for BlackBerry to firm up pricing just yet.
