HTC M4 likely to launch this summer

If the cost of the HTC One is a little restrictive, you could always wait a couple of months for the launch of the HTC M4.

That's likely to be an in-house name, the actual name should have the word 'One' in it, seeing as this is said to be a mid-range variation of that handset. The phone itself has just been mentioned by Digitimes in relation to production of its metal-alloy chassis. That body will be produced by a company called Catcher, which is said to be manufacturing 700,000 initial units ahead of shipment of the phone in June.

As for the specification, it seems that the BGR site has got wind of that, claiming the scaled-down One will offer a 4.3-inch 720p HD display, a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and an 'Ultrapixel' rear camera. The device may also include 16GB of internal storage, 1GB RAM and Sense 5, running on top of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

So on the face of it, a decent phone with (hopefully) a reasonable price to match. The HTC fightback continues.
