HP Slate 7 priced and dated for UK

Good news if you have been awaiting the arrival of the HP Slate 7 tablet, it's finally landing in the UK in May.

It is available from 1 May to be precise, selling for a wallet-friendly £129, as HP looks to get back into the mobile game. Albeit using Android rather than its own, now departed webOS platform. If you want to pre-order, you can do that right now from the HP website.

If you do order, you'll have a 7-inch tablet winging its way to you in around a fortnight, one with a resolution of 1024x600 and running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean without any added skin or interface. The only HP here seems to be the branding and an HP ePrint app for easy printing from your tablet.

But it will have a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, 3.15-megapixel rear-camera, VGA front-camera for video chat, a microSD slot, 8GB of internal storage, Beats Audio, Wi-Fi and a removable battery.

If that appeals, you can get your order in now.
