Vodafone confirms BlackBerry Q10 UK launch details

O2 offered some vague launch details for the BlackBerry Q10, but Vodafone has gone a step further, adding some fact to the equation.

The QWERTY version of BlackBerry 10 lands on 26 April, but you can pre-order now if you can't wait for that date. If you do pre-order, you'll have to commit to a contract with Vodafone costing at least £37 per month, an amount that gets you the phone for free, plus two years of unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 1GB of data.

If you want to go cheaper monthly, £130 upfront gets you a £33 per month contract, although the data limit is cut to 500MB. No matter which deal you go for, the colour choice is black or white, and, should you be tempted later down the line, Vodafone points out that the phone is 4G-ready (unlike Vodafone right now).

The Q10 is BlackBerry's second try at rebuilding its market share, this time with that QWERTY keyboard for traditionalists, along with a 3.1-inch 720x720 Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 1.5GHz processor, 16GB internal storage (expandable with up to 64GB via microSD card), an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 2,100mAh battery.

If that sounds good, you know where to go.
