YouTube for iOS updated for live video

YouTube has been really pushing its live streaming of late, with plenty of key events being hosted on the channel (including the recent Coachella music event). Now you can share in that experience with your iPhone or iPad.

The iOS app has just been updated to version 1.3 and with that update comes the option of live streaming for Apple's mobile devices. So if you want to check out the live gigs, political debate and live entertainment shows that YouTube has on offer, this is the app for you.

That's not the only new feature, you can also queue up videos to play on your TV, when using the recently-introduced 'send to TV' feature. If you pair your device with a Google TV, Xbox 360 or PS3, you can now watch YouTube content you find on your device on a bigger screen - with the benefit of creating a playlist now added.

If that appeals, go get the update now.
