We first saw this at the MWC event back in February, so it's about time that the Asus FonePad was made available in the UK.Even better, this phone meets tablet (or phablet if you like) even comes in at a reasonable price. When it lands in the UK on 26 April, it will cost £179. Not bad when you consider the 3G phone functionality included. The downside, of course, is trying to make a call with it. Just hold a Nexus 7 to your ear to get a rough idea of the problems / comedy value of using this as a phone. But with Samsung going bigger by the year, this might be something like the norm in the not too distant future. As for features, the FonePad has a 7-inch IPS display (not a million miles from the Kindle Fire or Nexus 7), along with an Intel Atom Z2420 processor, a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, 3-megapixel rear camera and 16GB of storage, a microSD slot boosting that further. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is the operating system.Interested? Just a couple of weeks and it can be yours.
