Details of Samsung Mega phones emerge

Samsung is going big again this year - and not just with the Galaxy Note III.

It seems the company is pushing the boundaries of portable with two more supersized smartphones, those being the Galaxy Mega 6.3 and the Galaxy Mega 5.8.

Different sources have indicated the existence of both phones, with Sam Mobile claiming that the Galaxy Mega 5.8 is a dual-SIM smartphone running Android Jelly Bean, with a 5.8 inch display at 960 x 540 pixel resolution, along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.5GB RAM, dual-core 1.4GHz processor, and a 2,600 mAh battery.

With regard to the Galaxy Mega 6.3, Korean website Daum reports that this is a 6.3-inch device with a dual-core Exynos processor, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, offered in a colour choice of black or white.

Both are said to be launching in June, with Samsung no doubt hoping that the buying public believes bigger is better. With fairly middling specifications on the phones (on the face of it), that really does need to be the case.
