Details of Google Motorola X phone emerge

This week might be all about the Samsung Galaxy S IV, but it could have some real competition from Google itself in the Android market, specifically with the Motorola X smartphone.

Details have started to leak this week (which may or may not be a coincidence). If it all adds up, it sounds like the Motorola X could be a real challenger, not least because this is likely to be the phone that showcases Google's latest Android operating system, Key Lime Pie, when it launches at the Google I/O event in mid-May.

When it does launch, there's talk (via an anonymous tipster) of this phone offering a 4.7-inch Full HD display, NVIDIA Tegra 4i processor, 16-megapixel camera and a five-megapixel front-facing camera, which also serves as a light sensor with eye scrolling features. Interesting stuff.

Granted the shot above doesn't give too much away, but it does give a broad outline of just what to expect when it does launch. Saying that, we would expect clearer spy shots to come before this handset makes its official debut, which is still a couple of months off. When it does appear, we're hoping it keeps a similar pricing structure to the Nexus 4. Just make sure you make a few more though, eh Google?
