APP WATCH: Adobe rolling out Photoshop Touch for phones

It has been offered for tablets in the past, but Adobe has just announced that Photoshop Touch is now rolling out for phones too.

The app is available for both the iPhone and Android smartphones, bringing 'core Photoshop features' to the smaller screen. That means editing, professional effects and the option to share results with friends and family through Facebook and Twitter.

In terms of specifics, it also means popular Photoshop features such as layers, selection tools, adjustments and filters, along with tone and colour adjustments to the entire image or a particular area. There are also painting effects and filter brushes, the ability to add graphical text, strokes, drop shadows and fades, a Camera Fill feature to fill an area on a layer and the option to combine images together.

You can also start a project on your phone and finish it on your tablet or back in Photoshop at your desk with a free membership to Adobe Creative Cloud (although you will need to have paid for a tablet app to do this).

A US price of £4.99 for the app has been confirmed, which will inevitably mean £4.99 when it lands in the UK.
