Around a week or so back, we saw a slightly different LG Optimus G Pro to the one first shown off in January. Now, that larger smartphone has had an official launch. The selling point here was actually missed in the leak. This smartphone has a curved glass screen. Why you ask? Apparently for 2.5D viewing. Why you would want that is anyone's guess, but it's likely to bring images from movies and games a little more to life, you would guess. No doubt we'll see it in action at MWC to find out if that's the case.Aside from that larger 5.5-inch screen with added curve and a black or white colour choice, we're not seeing a lot of difference to the one previously launched in Japan. Which leaves us to ponder whether we will see the curvier G Pro or the basic model. We're hoping its the former. The one that will launch will be much the same under the bonnet, which means a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 3140mAh battery, 2GB memory, 13-megapixel camera, a 2-megapixel networking camera and Jelly Bean for the Android operating system. The larger phone hits Korea this month, hopefully it will hit the UK not long after.
