We first saw this back in September of last year, when we second guessed it might be rebranded as a network phone. We were wrong - the ZTE Blade 3 is here in the UK under its own name.We made that assumption because previous incarnations of the Blade have been branded as the San Francisco I and II by Orange. But ZTE's growing reputation as a smartphone maker is perhaps enough to allow this phone to fight on its own merits. It has a few too, especially for the price being asked. That price is just £69.99 on a PAYG deal (when you buy a £10 top up) or a contract phone firm just £13 per month. Yes, it's certainly cheap. But you still get a 4-inch 800 x 480 TFT display, 1GHz single-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of storage, a 5-megapixel camera and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. Not exactly cutting edge, but for the money, it's certainly worth considering. If it tempts you, head into a Virgin store or to the website, as the ZTE Blade 3 is available now.
