Just a couple for days since details broke about the device, we have a potential launch date for the Sony Xperia Tablet Z.That launch date is 22 January, which is according to a document leaked via Japanese mobile carrier NTT DoCoMo. Which is well ahead of the expected launch at February's MWC event in Barcelona.Saying that, this might not be the big launch. That document, which was online but has since been pulled, said the Xperia Tablet Z would simply be 'on display', so might not be the main showcase. At least we'll have an idea of what it looks like and what it does though.Rumours point to the Tablet Z having a 10.1-inch 1920×1200 Full HD touchscreen, a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC optional 4G. It is also said to be waterproof and dustproof and with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the operating system.
Looks-wise, it is likely to look more like the Xperia Z phone than the Tablet S pictured here. All should be revealed in a matter of days.Source: Pocket Now
