Cloud storage company MediaFire has just launched its Android app, giving Android users 50GB of free online storage to back up their files.
If you're struggling to cram all of your media onto your phone or tablet, and don't have a memory card slot to expand the internal storage, your best option is the cloud. Online storage allows you to stash massive amounts of stuff on remote servers, and pull it onto your mobile whenever you need, and MediaFire is one of the more generous hosts out there offering a whopping 50GB for zero pennies.
There are limitations, of course, given this is a free service. There's no auto-syncing, so you need to manually back up your important files, and you can't send up anything larger than 200MB. If that doesn't put you off and you're looking for free cloud action, MediaFire is definitely worth a look.
The Android app is available to download now from Google Play, while the iOS version is already available on the App Store.
